During the holiday season, Best Buy in Boise feels like a casino. Lights and noises from flatscreens and speakers collide in a Big Bang of excitement and possibility. Sales people are like dealers beckoning customers to tables: car stereos (blackjack), computers (poker), home theater (craps … as in, craps, I just maxed out my credit card on a Sony Bravia).
