Does anyone know if it is possible to connect an iMac to a Sony Bravia TV?

Our Sony Bravia TV has a PC ’station’ so I was wondering if it was possible to connect our iMac with it so we can watch iPlayer etc on our tv through our iMac.

The best way is to take the DVi out from the Mac using a Mini-DVI to DVI adaptor, then a DVI to HDMI adapter and then a HDMI cable to the TV.
That’ll give you the best signal, but there’s no audio on DVi, so you’ll either need to use the audio out of the Mac to drive external speakers or to drive an audio in to the tv. For the latter, it depends on what the tv has – perhaps a jack plug from the Mac to a couple of phono sockets on the tv.
You might have to play around with the resolution output by the Mac depending what the tv can use, but there is some shareware for OS X to allow you to tweak the output – I’ll edit my post later if I remember what it’s called!
